Our Horses/Ponies mean the world to us, if you would like to add your beloved companion to our Remembrance wall please send us a message along with a photo, we love hearing about them.
(Pictured is our Blue, we lost him in 2021 at the grand age of 34)
Vanna
(Worsenden Silvanna) was the most people loving girl at our yard, she sought the attention of people more than horses and was more Labrador the horse.
She affectionately had the nic names Banana and donkey. Banana for her slipping and tripping because of her gangly baby legs and donkey for her giant ears.
She always wanted to be involved and tried many times to join us in the tea room. Or play with what ever was about.
For her age she was unfazed about everything and was truly one in a million.
Wilbur
(Whistling Spirit) at the 2003 Winter Dressage Championships. Always keen for a bit of hard work, he loved to show off his paces, on the flat and over fences, sometimes with dramatic licence! I fell off him more than I’ve fallen off my all other horses put together! A great character with huge humour and plenty of glamour right up to the end. He’s the horse who taught me to ride.
Doris.
We loved hearing about her cheeky ways, Doris was your typical Thelwell pony, always up to mischief, absolutely loved children (except when off the lead rein) she absolutely loved splashing in her paddling pool in the summer or any clean water bucket, when Doris first came into Anna’s life she was more known for her Tina Turner hair style!
Everywhere Doris went people would have to stop for cuddle, she loved this the most.
For a small pony it’s clear that she had the biggest heart and will be hugely missed.
Bohemio.
Bohemio was one in a million, he was also known as the dancing horse or Donkey from Shrek when he turns into a stallion.
You will be forever and always missed.
Good night Bo. xx
